The AI Journey

Your starting point.
Your next advantage.

Start anywhere: employee empowerment, useful visibility, or workflow automation. Your entire 30-day program can focus on one area. We meet you where you are.

Empower your team

Cross the bridge

Move from asking AI questions to delegating real work. Help your team use Claude Cowork or ChatGPT on agreed tasks, with reusable instructions, useful context, and human review.

What that can look like

Prepare a customer brief from approved emails and documents, ready for your review.

See your business clearly

Turn data into decisions

Bring spreadsheets, exported datasets, and connected business apps into useful reports and dashboards. Reconcile the numbers, see what changed, and understand where to act.

What that can look like

Bring invoice and payment exports together to identify balances that need attention.

Improve everyday work

Automate the repeatable

Find the repetitive tasks and broken handoffs slowing your team down. Simplify the process, then automate appropriate steps with clear approvals and exception handling.

What that can look like

Organize incoming documents and prepare a summary, with exceptions routed to a person.

Crossing the bridge

From doing every step to teaching AI your process.

Ask for advice

“How should I prepare this report?”
You still assemble the information and do the work.

Delegate the work

“Use these approved files and instructions to prepare the report.” You review, refine, and oversee the result.

Our differentiator

Business experience.
Practical AI value.

Our approach is shaped by Jim Gurol’s 30 years of starting, growing, and running businesses. Experience across sales, operations, field service, project management, finance, billing, and IT helps us choose improvements worth your team’s time.

We start with the business problem, establish a baseline, and measure progress against time and cost.

Jim Gurol, founder of California Telecom and Caltelligent

Jim Gurol

Business experience. Hands-on AI help.

Jim Gurol founded California Telecom in 2008, combining enterprise-level network engineering with personal, responsive service. Under his leadership, the company grew from a regional connectivity provider into nationwide managed network services, cybersecurity, and AI-powered infrastructure management.

Jim also founded Netverge, the platform behind California Telecom’s network monitoring and service delivery. Building technology to solve real operational problems is central to his approach.

Through Caltelligent, a division of California Telecom, Jim brings that same hands-on approach to AI: helping your people use it confidently, making business information easier to see, and reducing repetitive work.

Built into every stage

AI moves the work.
People stay in control.

People review important outputs and approve consequential actions. We set access boundaries, test workflows, and route exceptions to a person.

We select tools and configurations that keep business data out of model training, checking applicable terms and settings before connecting information.

Your custom work belongs to your business. Your team can review, stop, or correct the work, and keep using the agreed deliverables after handoff.

A few things to know

Do we need to start with training?

No. Start with employee training, dataset visualization and visibility, or automation. The entire 30 days can focus on any one area. We include the instruction needed to use and oversee what we deliver.

Who owns the work?

You own the custom deliverables, source code, data, and infrastructure accounts. We hand over the documentation and access needed to keep using your solution. Third-party software retains its licensing terms. Continuing with Caltelligent is optional.

What does the program require?

We agree on scope, participants, access, and costs before starting. Participating employees need suitable paid AI accounts. App or automation builds require a dedicated client-owned computer and client-funded development access. Hardware, subscriptions, hosting, and usage costs are scoped separately.

How does the final 20% work?

We agree on the result and acceptance checks before starting. You retain the final 20% of the program fee pending delivery. If we fail to deliver the agreed result by the agreed 30-day deadline, that final 20% is not owed. Your proposal defines the scope, responsibilities, acceptance terms, and treatment of changes or delays.
