The tools described below load when you arrive on our site. We show a notice banner disclosing them on your first visit. 2. Types of Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Required for the website to function properly. These cannot be disabled. They include session management and security cookies.
Analytics and Visitor Identification Cookies
Loaded when you arrive on our site. These help us understand how visitors interact with our website. This data is pseudonymous, not anonymous: it is tied to a persistent identifier that stays linked to you across visits, includes your IP address along with device and browser information, and in the case of our business-visitor identification tool is used to identify you individually and to identify the company you work for.
Functional Cookies
Remember your preferences (such as your cookie choice) so we do not ask you again on every page.
3. The Third-Party Tools We Use
We load two tools directly:
- Google Analytics 4 — website analytics. Measures how visitors arrive at our site and which pages they view, using a persistent identifier stored in the cookies listed below. It processes your IP address, device and browser information, and approximate location. This data is pseudonymous rather than anonymous: it stays linked to that identifier across visits, and Google may combine it with other signals it holds about you.
- RB2B (Retention.com) — B2B visitor identification. Attempts to identify the individual visitor and their employer by matching your IP address and device and browser information against third-party datasets, so that we can see which people and companies visited even when no form was submitted. This is deliberate identification of you, not anonymous measurement. You can opt out directly at app.retention.com/optout.
Further parties loaded by RB2B
RB2B does not act alone. Its script loads additional third parties onto this page that we do not embed ourselves and that are not visible in our own code. We disclose them here because they receive information about your visit and, in one case, set their own cookies under our domain. As observed on this site:
- LiveIntent (b-code.liadm.com) — an identity-resolution provider used to help match a visitor to a known person. It sets the _lc2_fpi, _lc2_fpi_js and _li_dcdm_c cookies listed below. LiveIntent is a further party receiving data about your visit.
- An IP geolocation service (pro.ip-api.com) — receives your IP address in order to return location information.
- Additional endpoints (a.usbrowserspeed.com, alocdn.com) — contacted by the RB2B script as part of its identification process. We are seeking confirmation from RB2B of the operators behind these and will name them here once confirmed.
We no longer use any advertising or ad-retargeting networks on this site. We do not control what these providers do with data once loaded, and we recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies.
Important: RB2B’s cookies are first-party
RB2B’s cookies are set under our own domain, not a third-party domain. This matters for a practical reason: if you rely on your browser’s “block third-party cookies” setting, it does not stop these. Opting out at app.retention.com/optout, clearing cookies for this site in your browser, or emailing us are the ways to prevent them.

Not every cookie above appears on every visit; which ones are set depends on how RB2B processes a given visit. RB2B’s own documentation lists a session cookie named _reb2sessionID, while the tag on this site sets _reb2bsessionID. Our controls account for both spellings.
LiveIntent, loaded by RB2B as described above, sets these cookies under our domain:

Google Analytics 4 additionally sets _ga and _ga_<property> (2 years), used to distinguish visitors and sessions. You can clear all of the above through your browser’s cookie settings for this site.

- Block third-party cookies
- Block all cookies from specific sites
